SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Nov 08, 2005 --
BitMover Inc., the provider of BitKeeper, the SCM industry's only
peer-to-peer collaborative development tool, today announced their
seventh consecutive quarter of record revenue.
BitMover's revenue for the third quarter of 2005 rose by 56% compared to
the third quarter of 2004. The consecutive increase in revenue has led
to an 89% increase in year-to-date revenue over the same time in 2004.
This rapid growth is coming from both new customers as well as expansion
within existing customers.
"The market has become aware of the power associated with using BitKeeper
and the Delta Development Model", said Bob Burres, VP of Sales at
BitMover. "Two out of three developers who try BitKeeper buy BitKeeper."
BitMover has a very rich roadmap that they expect will keep them ahead
of the market for years to come. BitKeeper's unique, peer-to-peer,
distributed architecture is the perfect foundation for an array of
new features that will address the toughest challenges associated with
today's complex development environment.
"BitKeeper is clearly the technology leader in SCM." Said Harold Hunt,
VP of Engineering at StarNet Communications. "Their unique architecture
allows us to keep code isolated until it's been fully tested so we
can maintain our high level of quality and the integration with Cruise
Control.NET simplifies our build process."
BitMover's culture of continual innovation has been the key to their
success and the catalyst for their rapid organic growth.
